—Do you contemplate Styrofoam and plastic grocery bags and where they go after mankind dies off?
—Do you watch TV and see an obvious connection between the bomb in Korea and antidepressant commercials?
—Can your mind connect paper shredding and a Supreme Being?
If your brain catches minutia and stores it for later musing, if you ask questions that cannot be answered using common sense, if you opt for the general gist and worry about proving things later, then you may be a macrothinker.
Macrothinkers find it difficult to connect with “normal” people. The art of small talk is lost on them. They cannot remember who married their siblings or how much their offsprings weighed at birth. Unless something huge happens in the world, like the space shuttle exploding, or airplanes crashing into the World Trade Centers, they probably aren’t too aware of the daily dramas around them.
Being a macrothinker, I won’t blog my thoughts everyday. Macro thoughts take time to brew. Plus I have to elucidate my illustrious ideas in ways that the non-macrothinking reader can understand. In other words, my writing have to make sense. Finally, do not take this macrothinker too seriously. I don’t. The fun factor tempers all.
